1″ Hose breakaway Coupling 

Breakaway couplings are designed to break a hose if a vehicle accidentally drives off with the nozzle still in the tank, this prevents any major damage to pumping equipment, allowing the coupling to split the hose if pulled by the vehicle moving away

How it Works

If a vehicle drives off with the nozzle still in the tank, the pressure is put on the breakaway coupling – causing it to break or split the hose. With a valve located on each side of the coupling, the close and seal preventing any major leaks. This can prevent any major damage or fuel spills as the main pumping equipment doesn’t get pulled off by the vehicle 

Dry Break Off Coupling 

These break off connectors split once force is applied in a straight line at approx 200lbs, as soon as the coupling splits to automatically seals both ends to retain and fuel in the lines prevent any major leaks or spills 

How to Fit The Coupling  

The Breakaway fits directly on the delivery hose line, Ideally a short 0.5 – 1.0 metre hose connects to the outlet fitting of the pumping equipment with the breakaway then joining it onto a longer delivery hose – this allows the delivery hose to break off leaving the short hose connected to the pumping equipment, prevent major stress on the outlet fittings.
